We arrive at dawn on Easter day, well aware of the things to do: considering the african’ paces, a week is not much, but more than enough to give a new impulse to the entire structure. Our friends Gillie and Mark are with us, ever since Nursery’s supporters and now also substantial part of our structure.

We arrive full of gifts: air balls offered by Euronda S.p.a., T-shirts by our friends Ksenia&Marco, shoes offered by De Fonseca and lot of colored paste to play and create different shapes! On top of this, we go to the school library in Malindi to buy books and stationeries. And then again, new mattresses, little chairs for baby classes…

Back to our school, overwhelmed by emotion and moved by the will to do more and more, but with something new: Marta Mattarina, a friend who will spend the next three months at the school, to enrich our project and offer affection to our children.

A big emotion… to find again our 60 children welcoming us. One year has gone since the official opening and our visit was primarily important. Our target was to double check the good progress of the schooling organization and, since materials deteriorate very quickly in Africa, to understand which maintanance works turned out to be necessary.

Three years are gone since the beginning of this adventure…..building up a nursery school in Africa…!! We made it thanks to the perseverance and sensibility of those ones who have helped us, mostly through the donations received last Christmas.

At our arrival, we notice with pride the progress of the works that we have left last January. The dorm and the kitchen are almost done up to the roof. We have to deal with the electrical system, the purchase of the kitchen and the fridge; the set up of the first bunk beds and lockers for each child.

We arrive right after Christmas, all without luggage… lost! It will be delivered in a few days. Not too bad, as our arrival meant to continue the job started one and a half year earlier! Enthusiasm up to the sky and much motivation, despite some news about the beginning of a civil insurrection, which also takes to costs increase, fuel shortage and an uncertainty atmosphere about the future of our Kenya.

In August 2007 we have started the new works to complete the project.
After definition of plans, projects and calculations, the new building has been initiated.
A “L” shaped structure, which will include kitchen, dining hall and dorm.
