December 2007 – Beginning of third phase

We arrive right after Christmas, all without luggage… lost! It will be delivered in a few days. Not too bad, as our arrival meant to continue the job started one and a half year earlier! Enthusiasm up to the sky and much motivation, despite some news about the beginning of a civil insurrection, which also takes to costs increase, fuel shortage and an uncertainty atmosphere about the future of our Kenya… but nothing will stop us! Under Paul’s guidance, we start from where we had last left: a new quotation with the site chief Hamisi, manpower recruitment and go! The drom and the dining hall walls are raised up and immediately plastered; we buy new sand, concrete, bricks and wood for the roof; we set the dig works for the sewerage and for the electrical system. A snack with our children…some pictures…the moved welcome to Aldo e Wilda.
We take pictures and we register all children at the school and we ask a local artist to create the school signs. Works proceed wonderfully, but after 10 days it’s time for us to go home. We leave with Paul the termination works of the third phase before starting the ultimate one. Special thanks to Marta, Marinella and Bruna. And thanks to all friends who have supported us all the way till now!
